About us

Derrick and Brittany Arbogast

Sandusky Pedal Operators

Derrick and Brittany met in 2009 at Heidelberg University, where Derrick played college football. They dated throughout college and married shortly after graduation in 2012, and now have four wonderful children—Lincoln, Leo, Emmary, and Josie. Derrick works as a beer and wine sales representative, while Brittany transitioned from her career as a nurse to being a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. She keeps their home running smoothly and is the voice behind the social media for Sandusky Pedal Co. Derrick and Brittany also went to high school with Dan Perry, founder of Tiffin Pedal Company, and have been longtime friends.

Faith and family are at the heart of everything Derrick and Brittany do. They’re passionate about instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in their children, which played a key role in starting Sandusky Pedal Company. After moving to the Republic/Bellevue area in 2023, they found themselves in Sandusky often for date nights and family outings, and quickly fell in love with everything the city has to offer. Inspired by the success and positive impact Dan Perry brought to Tiffin with Tiffin Pedal Company, Derrick and Brittany are excited to contribute the same energy and fun to the incredible Sandusky community!

FAQ

Are we allowed to bring alcohol on the bike? If so, how much?

Yes! As long as you are over the age of 21, you may bring alcohol on board. Wine bottles and growlers are the only glass allowed on the bike and must be poured into a cup to be enjoyed. Each person is allowed 36 ounces of beer and 18 ounces of wine on the bike at one time. If you run out, you can restock at one of our stops at a sponsor bar.

What is your late policy?

When you book one of our Private Tours, you rent our whole bike. We will wait on you and your group to get there! Please note, we will still end the tour at the determined time so you will only be cutting into your time. Please try to be there 20 minutes ahead of time.

For Mixer Tours (reserve one seat), sadly our tour will have to start at the designated time. We will do our best to make sure all are included, but we please ask everyone to try to arrive early to avoid such situations!

What is the weather policy?

We will ride, rain or shine! Unless you hear from us, your tour is still on. So please dress for whatever weather may arise. With that being said, our riders safety will always be our main concern. If we deem it unsafe to ride, you and your group will receive a full refund. If we are partially through a tour, we will prorate your tour to give you back whatever time you missed out on.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens. If you need to make changes more than 7 days before your scheduled tour, please let us know as soon as possible- we’ll be happy to help you reschedule! If rescheduling isn’t possible and you do need to cancel, we’ll be able to refund 90% of your booking fee.

If you need to cancel within 7 days of your scheduled tour, we will refund 50% of your booking fee. However, if you’re able to reschedule, we can refund 85% of your booking fee. We understand that unexpected things come up, and we’re here to help however we can. Please feel free to reach out, and we’ll work together to find a solution that works for you.

How many people can the bike fit?

Maximum — 14 People
Minimum — 8 People

We will need at least 8 people to make the bike move and to not tire out our riders. If a mixer tour fails to reach 8 people, our customers will receive a refund.

Does Sandusky Pedal Company sell alcohol on the bike?

No! While we do not serve alcohol, riders of age are allowed to bring their own. Please see there are limits to what you can bring listed above.

Should we tip our driver?

If you had fun on our bike, show your driver some love! Customer satisfaction is our number one priority!
